We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Lancashire - QSW for our Child and Youth Justice Service based in Burnley. As a Qualified Social Worker in this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting vulnerable children and young people within the justice system.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Assessing the needs and risks of children and young people involved in the justice system. Developing and implementing care plans to support the well-being and safety of the individuals. Providing advocacy and support to children and young people during legal proceedings. Liaising with external agencies, such as courts and police, to ensure effective collaboration in safeguarding efforts. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to review progress and make informed decisions.The essential qualifications and skills for this role are:
Qualified Social Worker status with relevant certifications and registrations. Demonstrated experience in working with children and young people in challenging circumstances. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively. Ability to work under pressure and make sound judgments in complex situations. Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to child protection and youth justice.Additional requirements for this position may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the region.
