We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Wirral in the Permanence and Assessment and Intervention role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a range of essential duties and tasks to support vulnerable children and families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks Developing and implementing intervention plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children Undertaking direct work with children and families to support positive outcomes Collaborating with partner agencies and professionals to ensure holistic support for service users Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as requiredThe ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England Experience in working within a children's social care setting, with a focus on permanence and assessment and intervention Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and welfare Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary teamAdditional requirements for this position may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the community.
