Join our dedicated team at Calderdale as a Front Line Duty Assessment Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and families in our community. In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing support to families in crisis. Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of children and families to identify needs and risks. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop and implement effective intervention strategies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with local authority policies and procedures. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access necessary resources and services. Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to enhance professional development.To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. At least 2 years of post-qualifying experience in children's social work. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in complex situations.
