Are you a dedicated and passionate social worker with experience in child welfare? North Somerset Council is seeking an Experienced Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in care. Your expertise will be instrumental in making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored care plans for children in care. Building trusting relationships with children, families, and caregivers to facilitate effective communication and support. Collaborating with external agencies and professionals to ensure holistic care and support for children. Monitoring and reviewing care plans to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people. Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive families.To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience working with children in care or related fields. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and child protection policies.
