We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Team (MAST) in Southall, Ealing. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families within our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children, and ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and other team members. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legislation and local policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions regarding safeguarding concerns.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience in children’s services, particularly in a safeguarding context. Strong knowledge of legislation and best practices in child protection and social work.
