We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Team Manager to join our Children and Families (C&F) Team in Walsall. This pivotal role involves leading a team of social workers to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a Children's Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing case management, providing guidance and support to staff, and ensuring compliance with local and national policies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers, providing supervision and professional development. Ensuring effective assessment and intervention strategies are implemented for children and families. Monitoring casework to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Collaborating with partner agencies to deliver integrated services and support. Contributing to the development of policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, including management or supervisory roles. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding practices, and child protection procedures.
