Are you a dedicated and compassionate social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people? The Young People's Safeguarding Team in Peterborough is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and young people, ensuring regular reviews and updates. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to navigate challenges. Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote the best outcomes for children. Documenting casework and maintaining accurate records in compliance with statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
