We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the level of risk to children and develop appropriate safeguarding plans. Working collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and other professionals to provide support and interventions. Attending case conferences, court hearings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation in accordance with legal requirements and organizational standards.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a safeguarding or child protection setting. Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and make sound judgments in challenging situations.
