Join our dynamic Children’s Social Work - MASH Team in Somerset, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to assess and respond to the needs of vulnerable children and their families. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that children are protected from harm and that their best interests are always prioritized.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in compliance with local policies and statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly within a MASH or safeguarding context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
