Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Leeds, where your passion for improving the lives of vulnerable children and families can make a real difference. We are seeking a qualified social worker who is committed to providing high-quality support and safeguarding for children in care. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our looked after children.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans in partnership with children and their families. Providing ongoing support and intervention to children in care, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being. Working closely with foster carers, residential staff, and other agencies to promote stability and positive experiences for children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to the development of policies and practices.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly within the looked after children framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
