Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Hull, where your expertise can make a significant difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker who is committed to improving outcomes for looked-after children. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and various stakeholders to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing care plans that prioritize their best interests. Conducting regular reviews of care plans and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Building trusting relationships with children and their families to facilitate open communication and support. Collaborating with multi-agency teams, including health, education, and law enforcement, to provide comprehensive care and support. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of casework and interventions in accordance with local policies.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in working with children and families, particularly within the looked-after children framework. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
