We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s SW - Fostering Team in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families within our community. You will be a vital part of a supportive team, working towards the best outcomes for children in foster care.

As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing the needs of children and families to ensure appropriate placements. Conducting home visits and maintaining regular contact with foster carers. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Providing support and guidance to foster families to enhance the care provided. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and organizational policies. Participating in court proceedings and contributing to reports as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification. Registered with Social Work England. Experience working within a fostering or children’s services setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with children and families. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
