We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our Family Help Team in Lewisham. This role is pivotal in providing support and intervention for families in need, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. You will work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external partners to deliver high-quality services that empower families to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments of children's needs and risks, developing tailored intervention plans. Working closely with families to implement strategies that promote positive change and stability. Maintaining accurate and timely case records, ensuring compliance with local and national policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
