Join our dedicated Families First Team in Somerset as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable children and families. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, developing and implementing tailored intervention plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in your care. Your work will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations, to create a supportive network for families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans that promote the best outcomes for children. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work capacity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
