We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team in Tameside. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing support to children and families in need within the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Responding to referrals and conducting initial assessments to determine the level of support required Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals Conducting home visits and interviews to gather information and assess risks to ensure the safety and well-being of children Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to coordinate services and interventions Providing ongoing support and guidance to children and families to promote positive outcomesThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification Registered with Social Work England Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social care setting Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate interventions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholdersAdditional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the community.
