Join our dynamic Children’s Social Work - Drug and Alcohol Team in Walsall, where you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families affected by substance misuse. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to help us make a positive impact in our community. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure the well-being and safety of children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs. Developing and implementing effective care plans that promote the welfare of children. Working closely with families, schools, and external agencies to provide holistic support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies. Participating in regular supervision and training to enhance professional development.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working in a children’s social work setting, particularly with substance misuse issues. Strong assessment and analytical skills.
