We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Drug and Alcohol Team in Bury. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing support and intervention to children and families affected by substance misuse issues.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children at risk due to parental drug and alcohol misuse Working collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children in challenging family situations Providing direct support and guidance to children and families, offering therapeutic interventions and practical assistance Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for the needs of vulnerable children Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions in accordance with statutory requirements

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration Experience working in a similar role within children's services, ideally with a focus on substance misuse Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing child protection and safeguarding

Additional requirements:
