Join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker (SSW) within the Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Team in Bradford. We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families affected by substance misuse. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, community organizations, and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children while promoting recovery and resilience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans that support recovery and family stability. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to promote effective service delivery. Participating in regular supervision and training to enhance professional development.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and working with families affected by substance misuse. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
