Join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker within the Drug & Alcohol (D&A) Team in Bradford, where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement interventions that support children affected by substance misuse. Your commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children will be at the heart of your daily responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to team discussions to enhance service delivery.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in the context of substance misuse. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
