Sefton Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work (CSW) Team. As a vital member of our team, you will work collaboratively to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Providing support and guidance to children and families, ensuring the delivery of appropriate services. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in child protection meetings and contributing to decision-making processes.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
