We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Child Protection Team in North Yorkshire. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and families in the region.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with other professionals and agencies. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families to improve outcomes for children. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration. Demonstrated experience working in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and needs effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Additional requirements and benefits:
