Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your expertise will help safeguard and promote the welfare of children in our community.

As a Children’s Social Worker, you will be responsible for a range of key duties, including:

Conducting assessments and developing care plans to meet the needs of children and families. Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and support. Participating in child protection conferences and court proceedings as required. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA Social Work, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
