Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work team on the beautiful Isle of Wight, where you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in our community. As a qualified Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure that children receive the support they need to thrive. Your expertise will be essential in assessing needs, planning interventions, and implementing strategies that foster positive outcomes for children and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with statutory requirements. Providing support, guidance, and advocacy to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). HCPC registration as a qualified Social Worker. Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly in child protection and family support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
