We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Care & Learning Team in Birmingham. This role is pivotal in supporting children and families within our community, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including families, schools, and other professionals, to deliver high-quality social care services.

As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans to support children’s welfare and development. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organisational standards. Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated service delivery. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in a care and learning context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
