Join our dedicated Long Term Team in Newcastle as a Children’s Social Worker (SSW) and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to provide effective support and interventions to enhance the wellbeing of children in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and strengths. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in conjunction with families and multi-agency partners. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of casework and interventions in line with statutory requirements. Attending court hearings and providing expert testimony when required. Participating in regular team meetings and supervision to ensure best practice and continuous professional development.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g., Social Work England). Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in long-term case management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
