Join our dynamic LAC/CIN Team in Suffolk as a Children’s Social Worker (SSW). In this vital role, you will work closely with children in care and those in need, providing support and guidance to help them thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and families. Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders to promote positive outcomes. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure holistic support for children in care and children in need. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard. Providing advice, support, and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a statutory setting. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
