Join our dedicated team in Lancashire as a Children's Social Worker within the Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Team. We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual who is committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by substance misuse. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to provide essential support and interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable young individuals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks related to drug and alcohol use. Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans that promote positive outcomes for children. Providing direct support and guidance to children and families, helping them navigate challenges associated with substance misuse. Collaborating with health services, schools, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to care. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements and best practices.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in the context of substance misuse. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
