We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Child Sexual Exploitation Prevention and Awareness (CSPoA) Team in Reading. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with children and families to provide support, guidance, and interventions that promote well-being and safety. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying at-risk children and implementing strategies to protect them from harm.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments to determine the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing direct support and counseling to children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard. Working alongside schools, health services, and community organizations to create a network of support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of interventions and outcomes. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse groups. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across various agencies.
