Join our dedicated Child Protection Inquiry Team in Birmingham as a Children's Social Worker (SSW). We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, managing complex cases, and collaborating with families and other professionals to safeguard vulnerable children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other agencies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings to coordinate support and intervention strategies. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
