Join our dedicated team in Hull as a Children's Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) and play a pivotal role in ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care. As an IRO, you will be responsible for overseeing the care planning process, ensuring that children’s voices are heard and their rights are upheld. Your expertise will guide multi-agency collaboration, ensuring that all parties work together effectively to meet the needs of the children in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting regular reviews of care plans to monitor and evaluate the progress of children and young people. Facilitating meetings and ensuring that the views of children, families, and professionals are considered in decision-making. Providing independent oversight and challenge to ensure that children’s needs are prioritized. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legislation and best practice. Building strong relationships with children, families, and professionals to foster trust and collaboration.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children’s social work and knowledge of current legislation and policies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
