Barnsley Council is seeking a qualified Children's Integrated Front Door Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of children while providing support to families in need. As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families, identifying their needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Providing guidance and supervision to junior staff and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with local and national legislation. Actively participating in team meetings, case discussions, and training sessions to enhance service delivery.To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in children's social work, with a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with children, families, and professionals. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
