We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in Birmingham. This vital role will involve overseeing the care plans of children and young people in care, ensuring their rights and needs are prioritized. You will work collaboratively with social workers, families, and other stakeholders to facilitate meaningful reviews that promote the best outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting independent reviews of care plans, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements. Engaging with children, families, and professionals to gather insights and feedback on care experiences. Preparing and presenting reports that highlight key findings and recommendations for improvement. Monitoring the implementation of action plans and ensuring timely follow-up on agreed outcomes. Providing support and guidance to social workers and other professionals involved in the care of children.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in reviewing and assessing care plans. Strong understanding of legislation and guidance related to children's services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
