We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Assessment and Planning (AP) - Social Care Practice (SCP) Team in Middlesbrough. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in our community. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and intervention to children and their families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding initiatives.Essential qualifications and skills for this position include:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work and knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
