We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Assistant Practitioner (AP) to join our CIN/CP/C&F Team in Lincolnshire. This role is crucial in providing support to children and families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being. As an Assistant Practitioner, you will work closely with social workers and other professionals to deliver high-quality services that promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting social workers in assessments, planning, and interventions for children and families. Building trusting relationships with children and families to encourage engagement and participation in the process. Conducting home visits and monitoring the welfare of children in accordance with agency policies. Maintaining accurate and timely records of interactions and progress in line with safeguarding standards. Participating in team meetings and contributing to case discussions, ensuring a collaborative approach to service delivery.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant qualification in social work, youth work, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care). Experience working with children and families in a social care setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations. Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding policies.
