We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Assessment and Planning (AP) - Child in Care (CIC) Team in Gateshead. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children in care, providing them with the support they need to thrive. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and a range of professionals to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders. Providing direct support and intervention to children in care, promoting their emotional and social development. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including education, health, and community services, to ensure holistic support for children.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children and families in a social work context. Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
