Leeds City Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children Looked After Social Worker to join our dynamic team. As a Children Looked After Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children in care. Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and families to promote stability and positive relationships. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognised social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working within a children’s social work setting, particularly with looked after children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
