Are you dedicated to supporting children and families affected by domestic abuse? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Children & Family Worker to join our Cheshire West and Chester project. This vital role is based in Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your local community.
About the Role:
You will work directly with children and parents impacted by domestic abuse, providing practical and emotional support to help them rebuild their lives. Your role will include working closely with families and partner agencies to promote safety, resilience, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored 1:1 and family support sessions with children and parents affected by domestic abuseUse trauma-informed approaches to help families cope and recoverMaintain accurate, confidential case records and reportsPromote safeguarding and child protection best practices at all timesWork collaboratively with local agencies and professionalsWhat We're Looking For:
Experience working with children and families, ideally in a domestic abuse setting (essential)Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)Strong understanding of domestic abuse and trauma-informed practiceExcellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skillsCommitment to safeguarding vulnerable children and familiesCurrent DBS certificate or willingness to undergo a DBS checkWhy Join Us?
