We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our CAFCASS team in Brighton, focusing on Public Law cases. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with legal professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children involved in public law proceedings.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and preparing reports for court, ensuring all documentation is thorough and timely. Engaging with children and families to understand their needs and circumstances, advocating for their best interests. Participating in multi-agency meetings and court hearings to present findings and recommendations. Providing support and guidance to families throughout the legal process, ensuring they are informed and empowered. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with CAFCASS policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognised social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in working with public law cases and a solid understanding of the legal framework surrounding child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent analytical and report-writing skills, with a keen attention to detail.
