Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of families and individuals within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while providing support and guidance to help them thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of children and families in need. Developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs. Working collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and families to ensure a holistic approach to support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
