Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals? Barking & Dagenham is seeking a qualified SSW/SP-Homelessness Specialist to join our Assessment Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of homeless individuals and families, providing tailored support, and connecting them with essential services to facilitate their journey towards stable housing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, risks, and circumstances. Developing personalized support plans in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders. Facilitating access to housing options, financial assistance, and other necessary resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Working closely with partner organizations and community resources to enhance service delivery. Providing ongoing support and advocacy for clients throughout their housing journey.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England (SWE). Proven experience in homelessness services or related fields. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A commitment to promoting social justice and equality.
