Caritas Recruitment is supporting Oldham Council to recruit a permanent AMHP Social Worker (Grade 8) within Adult Services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and warranted AMHP to join a supportive local authority working with complex mental health cases.

About the Role
As an AMHP Social Worker, you will manage a complex and challenging caseload, carrying out assessments, developing and reviewing Care & Support Plans, and ensuring high-quality practice in line with statutory duties.
Key responsibilities include:
Undertaking complex assessments and formulating care and support plansCarrying out statutory AMHP duties, including crisis interventions and legal decision-makingManaging safeguarding concerns and assessing riskWorking closely with multi-agency partners including NHS, police, and legal professionalsPreparing reports for court, panels, and reviewsSupporting and mentoring less experienced staffMaintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with legislation About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
