Join our dedicated team as an Advanced Social Worker in the Disabled Children's Service in Devon, where you will play a pivotal role in improving the lives of children with disabilities and their families. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who is committed to delivering high-quality social work services. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring that the highest standards of practice are maintained.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families to identify needs and appropriate interventions. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community services to provide holistic support. Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with families, ensuring that their voices are heard and respected. Providing expert advice and support to less experienced social workers and contributing to the development of best practices within the team. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local and national guidelines.To be considered for this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualifying experience in social work, particularly within children's services. Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice relating to children with disabilities.
