Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Telford & Wrekin as an Advanced Practitioner and make a significant impact in the lives of families and children. In this vital role, you will provide expert guidance and support to social work colleagues while ensuring that our safeguarding practices are upheld to the highest standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting best practices, driving improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing advanced social work assessments and interventions for families in need of safeguarding support. Leading complex case discussions and ensuring that appropriate safeguarding measures are taken. Mentoring and supervising less experienced social workers, offering support and guidance in their professional development. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to create comprehensive support plans for families. Contributing to the development of team policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A relevant degree in Social Work and a valid Social Work England registration. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a proven track record in a similar role. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and external partners.
