Caritas Recruitment is proud to be supporting Leeds City Council in the recruitment of experienced Advanced Practitioners to join their Children's Services teams based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated social worker seeking a rewarding locum role within a progressive authority that places relationship-based practice and restorative approaches at the heart of everything they do.
The RoleAs an Advanced Practitioner, you will manage a complex caseload involving:
Child and Family AssessmentsChild in Need plansChild Protection workPre-proceedings and Care Proceedings through to permanence planningThe role includes lead worker responsibilities on more complex cases, providing support and guidance to colleagues while maintaining direct case responsibility. This is not a supervisory or line management position.
You'll be expected to build strong relationships with children and families, promote family-led decision making, and use restorative practice to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
About YouTo be considered, you will have:
Social Work England registrationSignificant Children's Social Work experienceStrong experience within Child Protection and Court WorkExcellent assessment, analytical and report-writing skillsA child-centred approach and ability to undertake direct work with childrenExperience managing complex caseloads and competing prioritiesA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleEnhanced DBS clearanceWhat's on Offer?£32.50 per hour37 hours per weekHybrid working availableSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to work within a highly respected local authorityImmediate start availableWorking ArrangementsThe team operates a hybrid working model, with office attendance required during duty weeks. On non-duty weeks, there is flexibility for home working and compressed hours, depending on service needs.
Office locations are based within the Leeds LS10/LS11 area.
