We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Community Mental Health Team in Newcastle. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality support to adults experiencing mental health challenges. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to assess, plan, and implement effective care strategies that promote recovery and enhance the well-being of our service users.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals' mental health needs. Developing and reviewing care plans in collaboration with service users and their families. Providing direct support and interventions to individuals and groups. Working closely with other professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and community support workers. Advocating for service users' rights and ensuring they have access to necessary resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with relevant policies and legislation.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working within a mental health setting, preferably with adults. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
