Southend-on-Sea City Council is recruiting a permanent full-time Adults Social Worker to join its Prevention Team within Adult Social Care. This is a fast-paced role ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to promoting independence and wellbeing.

As a Social Work England registered Social Worker, you will:

Support adults aged 18+, young people transitioning to adult services, and their carersDeliver strengths-based assessments, safeguarding investigations, and mental capacity evaluationsLead Care Act assessments, statutory reviews, and best interest meetingsCollaborate with health and social care partners to deliver integrated supportEmpower individuals to build solutions that enable safe, fulfilling lives

Key Details:

Salary: £39,152-£45,091 (no movement - please inform candidates before submission)Location: Southend-on-Sea (on-site at Civic Centre minimum 2 days/week)Contract: Permanent, full-time (37 hours/week, flexible across 7 days)Requirements: Must be a car driver unless local to Southend SS postcode
