Job description

Role: qualified Child Social Worker
Location: East London
Start Date: 10/11/2019.

Candidates must be HCPC registered and hold a social work degree or other professional qualification relevant to the role eg DipSW, CQSW, BASW.

Role Responsibilities:

  • assessing, monitoring and reviewing the existing care needs of individuals;
  • assessing potential risks and protection and social care needs of individuals, carers and families;
  • devising individual care plans;
  • liaising with other agencies;
  • managing an agreed caseload.

Skills Required:

  • ability to record data accurately;
  • good working knowledge of legislation;
  • excellent communication skills
  • good understanding of philosophies, professional social work issues and the legal framework
