Job description

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, qualified social worker with 3-5 years of experience to work as part of our children’s protection team in North East. The start date for the role is 01/07/2020.

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • excellent communication skills
  • keen to advance their experience and reputation in the sector
  • HCPC registered
  • in possession of a social work or other professional qualification (e.g. DipSW, CQSW, BASW)
  • excellent knowledge of relevant legislation
  • knowledge of the philosophies and legal framework of professional social work

Candidates will be adept at completing caseload work; taking appropriate action in conjunction with partner agencies; monitoring, reviewing and reassessing existing care services; devising individual care plans; assessing, monitoring and reviewing existing social care needs; conducting interviews with individuals and families, assessing and reviewing their situations and writing reports which meet specified standards and timescales, in some cases for subsequent legal action.
