Job description

We are actively recruiting for a qualified social worker to join our Fostering Team, based in North East.

With a start date of 09/03/2020, candidates should be diligent, passionate and HCPC registered. Working alongside other motivated workers, the role responsibilities will cover recruiting, assessing, training and supporting foster carers providing a whole range of foster care to children requiring placements.

The successful applicant will be required to manage and support their allocated caseload as well as undertaking other professional duties such as assisting with devising and facilitating training programmes with other team members and offering post placement expert support. Responsibilities also include assessing new foster carers’ suitability, updating Form Fs for existing carers, and improving the services to children ‘Looked After’ and their carers.

At all times, the role should be carried out in accordance with the UK National Standards for Foster Care, Code of Practice and Fostering Services Regulations.

In addition to the tasks listed above, successful applicants will also be required to produce and keep up to date reports detailing both initial and continuing approvals, which will be presented to the relevant panels.
