Role: Children's Worker Location: Wigan Contract: Permanent Salary: £24,000 - £24,500 per year depending on experience Hours: 36 hours per weekAbout the Role:Caritas Futures is supporting leading charity offering high-quality support services to women, men, and families affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, and young parenthood across Northwest England. The organization focuses on improving the safety and life opportunities of those who use its services and assisting them in their recovery.In this role:Work closely with families to enhance parenting skills and strengthen parent-child relationships.The aim is to establish a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for children and young people within the refuge services.Plan and deliver individual and group play sessions for children of all ages to help them process their experiences of domestic abuse.Offer engaging and creative activities for families that promote and strengthen the bond between parent and child.Essential Requirements:A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to undergo one).Must have a valid driver's license and a Car.A female candidate to work within a female-only service.Previous experience as Domestic Violence, Homelessness, Children and young people or in a related role, or transferable skills from another field.A passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and helping them make positive changes.At Caritas Futures, we prioritize the well-being of everyone we work with.
