We have Supported Our Team to Achieve A Lot Already
Over the past two years, we made significant strides forward in our improvement journey. We have invested significantly in a new workforce strategy that has seen considerably increased capacity within the service through the creation of additional Social Worker, Consultant Social Worker, Team Manager and Service Manager posts.
In addition, we have engaged with our partners to put more emphasis on early help for children and families and where needed, have focused on early permanence for children. We have developed a learning culture, supported by additional CPD and the introduction of the 'Signs of Safety' social work model across the Authority. All of which have combined to deliver reduced case loads for our Social Workers, reduced workloads for our Managers, better staff moral and improving outcomes for children and families.
